About Ami Lee, MA, MFT-C

Individual & Couples Therapy

Let's Talk about the root issue

Hi there! I’m Ami Lee, MA, MFT-C (she/her). Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and my goal is to make the process as comfortable, supportive, and approachable as possible. I strive to meet clients where they are, walking alongside them toward greater clarity, connection, and growth.

I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Regis University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Ever since I was young, I’ve felt drawn to work that centers on human connection and being of service to others. My education and clinical training have continued to affirm and strengthen my passion for this profession.

I approach therapy with warmth, professionalism, and genuine curiosity. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel safe, respected, and truly understood. My work is collaborative and client-centered, focusing not only on what brings you into therapy now, but also on helping you build skills and insight that support long-term growth and resilience.

I enjoy working with individuals and couples who are open to self-reflection and committed to growth, as well as those who are motivated to explore patterns, improve communication, and build stronger connections.

Connection and trust are central to my work as a therapist. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where individuals and couples can openly explore thoughts, emotions, and relational experiences. I place a strong emphasis on emotional awareness, vulnerability, and clear communication, assisting you in identifying and expressing your needs while feeling heard and validated.

I work with both individuals and couples and view concerns through a systemic lens, recognizing that people and problems do not exist in isolation. I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), solution-focused, and narrative approaches, while remaining flexible and responsive to your unique needs. Rather than adhering to one model, I integrate approaches thoughtfully to support meaningful and lasting change.

I am especially passionate about relationship work and helping clients identify recurring patterns and cycles that keep them feeling stuck. Together, we explore how these dynamics show up, each person’s role within them, and what it might look like to move toward healthier, more intentional ways of relating.
